About Us
Dublin Tech Circuit is a student-led community empowering peer-to-peer learning through intra-school collaboration and inter-school competition. It’s a platform for aspiring leaders, scientists, and technologists to grow, compete, and lead transforming schools into hubs of innovation, one tech team at a time.
Our Story
The initiative was born when a group of post-secondary school students—BT (now Stripe) Young Scientist winners, SciFest alumni, and passionate tech enthusiasts—came together around a shared question: Why should only sports teams get to represent their schools? While inter-school sports competitions drive pride and performance, there was no similar platform for students whose talents lie in robotics, programming, cybersecurity, digital art, or engineering. That insight sparked the creation of Dublin Tech Circuit (DTC)—a nationwide, student-powered movement where schools can form their own tech teams, just like they do for football. These teams compete year-round in challenges across multiple disciplines, from robotics and AI to creative digital media.
